You English jerks who've already seen Doctor Who. I still have several hours 'til it airs. Also... Don't talk that way about our lord and saviour.
I think I missed something. Did someone badmouth me?

Did you see it?
What did you think? It's quite exciting to think this is the first double episode opener. But the Doctor DID die. Properly. I thought it was brilliant that he wass half way through his regeneration when he got zapped again... and that he was 200 years older than what he should have been.
Bloody cliffhangers...

Yeah, I thought it was funny how I kind of wrote off that "of course the DOCTOR won't be the one to die!" ...then he was.
And yes, killing a Time Lord in the middle of a regeneration was always one of the canonical ways of perma-killing them. That and stopping both their hearts or just killing them before their body can initiate the regeneration process (ala the Tenth Doctor's death in "Turn Left".)
I really enjoyed the premier. I think the Silence are immensely creepy villains and I'm VERY interested to see how their whole deal will play out.

It's said that they're gonna be the ultimate villain, which is an exciting prospect.
Apparently, the Dalek's aren't in this series. I hope they're not in it for a couple of years, which I'm quite pleased about. We need some time without them.

I agree completely, and the Daleks are my favorite Who villain.
The thing this series needs to remember is the Daleks are supposed to be the Doctor's greatest and most dangerous enemies. If you have them showing up three times a season it really makes them seem like no big deal. They really should be saved for super special occasions, like, once or twice every few years or so.

So... Amy's pregnant, the astronaught is the little girl (who's name is unknown) and the Doctor dies.
Is the little girl River... or is that just what they want us to think?

Ooo, I hadn't thought about that.
Although River has an English accent and the little girl has an American accent. I really got the impression that she was a little girl from 1960's America. But maybe that's just what they wanted us to think.
Also, I'm iffy about Amy being pregnant. If she knows beyond a shadow of a doubt, that's one thing. But if she just thinks she's pregnant 'cause she was feeling sick, well... River was feeling sick right after seeing the Silence too.

I've seen a clip from the next episode. It looks really creepy. It has Amy in a dark room, but it doesn't show the bits she doesn't remember so random counting seems to just appear on her face. It looks brilliant.
They haven't really done much yet, but they're already the most interesting characters.
And my god I'm sick of accidentally writing Amy in my RP's.

Of course I saw it.
I had a sneaking suspicion the Time Lords might be coming back this season. This weeks episode (and the fact that Gaiman's episode in two weeks is entitled "The Doctor's Wife") go a long way in convincing me even further.

That episode intrigues me. All evidence obviously points to River being his wife, but it is highly unlikely. Especially considering that what is about to happen is going to make the Doctor hate her...
