Is it actually any good?
To be honest, it doesn't really appeal to be, other than the obvious 'oOoOo, aren't those effects cool' thing. I understand it's an amazing acheivement in modern cinema, but from an actual film standard, does it live up to the hype?
And do you think that modern cinema needs these types of films to survive?

The story has been told before, but the use of visuals in telling it is really cool. James Cameron's directing really draws you into the world. The characters are fairly one dimensional, but the General is one badass villain.
Overall it's a pretty good movie. Go see it, but be sure to see it in 3-D.

I didn't see it in 3d and thought it was pretty good, but maybe that's because I didn't buy into the hype and thought it would be crap, it's not exactly a fresh story line but it's a pretty good film, not sure about the human screwing over the errr human race lol. To be honest the last film I saw was daybreakers and I prefered that, got to love a good vamp film.

I watched that yesterday. 'Twas pretty good, although the ending was disappointing... unless they're doing a sequel.[/color]
