Joe Stall crashes into a steel chair that has been set up in his locker room. His forehead is still torn open from his encounter with Sah’ta Thor in the elimination chamber. He crawls around on the floor. His head is still spinning. He grabs his ribs with one hand and with the other pulls himself over to the lockers.
”Stupid.”
He sits himself up and rests his head against the metal locker door. His hands slide to his knees which have swollen. His breathing is labored and shallow.
”Too old… should have known… better. What am I doing here?”
Stall slides over to a nearby bench and tries to pull himself up. His knees give out from under him and he falls. His head nearly hits the bench, but Joe manages to catch himself. He supports himself by his elbows and manages to get to a kneeling position.
”Shouldn’t have come back. Too old… stupid.”
Stall tries to get up again, but a wrenching in his stomach brings him back down. A hot stream of vomit projects itself from his mouth and splashes to the floor. Joe collapses again. His knees falls to the floor and his chest presses against the bench as another stream of vomit pours out of his body mixing with the blood from his face.
”Can’t let them see me like this. Must be… remembered… well.”
Joe composes himself and manages to hobble out of the room and into the hallway. His body slams against the wall. And he slides towards the floor. He pulls himself up on his wobbly knees and staggers down the hallway. He pushes himself off of the way and forces himself to stumble toward Pain’s office. He grabs the doorknob. It is locked. Without even trying Joe twists the knob and break the lock. He falls into Pain’s office and crawls over toward his desk.
”Gotta show them. Gonna get them back at Genesis… not… too… old… yet.
Noticing that his locked door has been thrown open, Pain rushes in.
Joe!
Pain kneels down next to Joe and pulls out his cellphone. He calls for the ambulance as Joe loses consciousness.
